Our story
The story of Akridas Pressery began in 2011, when the Akridas family planted its first pomegranate orchards in Western Greece. From the very beginning, the goal was clear: to cultivate exceptional fruit and transform it into authentic juice that preserves the natural character and nutritional value of the pomegranate.
Through years of hands-on cultivation and small-scale experimentation, our family developed a deep understanding of the fruit and its varieties, refining both juicing methods and varietal blending. In 2016 this experience led to the creation of the Akridas artisanal juicing facility in Kato Syhaina, Patras, an ISO-certified unit that allows complete control of production from fruit selection to bottling.
Today, our family grows approximately 3000 pomegranate trees in the regions of Achaia and Aetolia-Acarnania, forming the agricultural foundation of a small but dedicated family pressery committed to producing authentic pomegranate juice.
Our commitment to quality
The quality of Akridas pomegranate juice begins in the orchard. Alongside fruit grown in our family fields, we collaborate with certified local growers, maintaining continuous communication and close cooperation to ensure consistent cultivation practices.
Regular monitoring and analysis allow us to select only pomegranates that meet our strict quality standards. As a small artisan family operation, our limited production volumes allow us to work exclusively with carefully selected fruits, while human visual inspection remains an essential part of quality control at every stage.
Production Method
Our juice is 100% pure pomegranate juice, not from concentrate, with no added sugar or sweeteners, and no preservatives, artificial flavors, or colorings. Its distinctive taste comes from a carefully balanced blend of selected varieties, including Wonderful, Hermione and Ako, which together create a unique harmony between vibrant acidity and natural sweetness.
The fruit is cold-pressed using a patented pressing system designed by the Akridas family, developed to extract the juice gently without over-squeezing the fruit. Depending on the product line, the juice is either pasteurized to ensure safety and shelf stability, or immediately bottled and frozen immediately after pressing.
